ICTs and TACs

These topics refer to the role of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) and Learning and Knowledge Technologies (TACs) in the English classroom. ICTs and TACs have a key role in contemporary society and therefore in education, since they include those digital resources oriented towards teaching, which promote learning both for the teacher, who will study and select the most appropriate digital tools for their use in the classroom, as well as for the student who will receive all the benefits of these tools in their learning process. It is of great significance that educators be capable of using teaching practices that meet the social needs of today. The use of ICTs in the class of English as a second or foreign language promotes access to equity, quality of teaching and learning, and a more efficient educational administration. Preparing students for globalization and the communication revolution is a challenge for teachers around the world, as is using ICTs and TACs as tools to promote knowledge.
