Applied Linguistics

Applied Linguistics (LA), seen as the point of convergence of all branches of linguistics, is a problem-solving discipline directly related to the teaching of a language and its problems in different social contexts. Within CONLAUNA, the approaches of this discipline will be directed to pedagogical mediation, with strategies, tools and activities that are useful and effective in the classroom. The teaching and learning of a foreign language include, among other aspects, the conscious effort to learn or teach a target language, develop the different abilities in that language, and overcome obstacles in order to achieve these objectives.
